My role as a counsellor is to work in collaboration with you to explore, examine and support you in finding options and ways to live a better and stronger life. You set the direction, we’ll work together on your goals, and I will help you get there.

My main areas of work are relationship counselling, loss and grief, spiritual (Christian) counselling, parenting, life stage transitioning, and general wellness. As a counsellor, it is my goal to create a safe environment to help you to explore important life issues and to help you use the resources you have and around you.

I have a Master's degree in Counselling Psychology, a Diploma in Professional Counselling, a Certificate of Specialization in Intimate Couple’s Counselling, and a bachelor's in religion. I have worked with individuals, couples and families in private and agency settings. I have worked for over 15 years in pastoral ministry and counselling, working as a youth minister, young adult’s minister, and a lead pastor. I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor (RTC) with the Association of Cooperative Counselling Therapists of Canada (ACCT).

I am a father of two beautiful children, married for over 20 years, and a lover of nature and God. I am an artist, an avid fisherman, an outdoors person, and a lover of sports.

My particular style of counselling is influenced through Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Person-Centred approaches. I can also incorporate a spiritual perspective that is consistent with a person’s faith.

PLEASE NOTE: I am a therapeutic counsellor and not a psychologist or psychiatrist, and I do not diagnose mental conditions or prescribe any medications.
